Dominica has a population of just 71,000, and as a relatively undeveloped island, it offers tourists a luscious island getaway without the mega resorts and hordes of people. Small rural villages provide insight into the traditional and cultural aspects of local life, and visitors can easily take a peak into the daily goings on of the people who live there.

This, in and of itself, is what makes Dominica a fascinating place to visit; not only does it have the allure of sandy beaches and warm waters, it alsop provides visitors with a relatively untainted landscape that is full of living culture and community.
